As we'd love to keep Stompy going until the end of time, we have had to make the painful decision to shut down the download store and retire the Stompy parties.In 1992 we threw our first event in San Francisco, and Stompy was born.
For the next decade, Stompy became a party synonymous with bringing forward thinking artists, emerging locals, and international DJ's who often times was their first time performing in the USA, let alone San Francisco.
Gemini, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, A Guy Called Gerald, Lil Louis, Tom Middleton and countless others came and set the soundtracks for the night, and the 'Stompy Party' became an SF destination for party people.
Fast forward to the early 2000's as the music marketplace for DJ's began the transition from Vinyl to Digital.
Once the cdj-100 was released with adjustable pitch control, it became a game changer and also served as the inspirational catalyst for the Stompy digital download site.
As we have always found ways to remain independent, we traded a Pioneer DJM-500 mixer to a friend who coded the first version of Stompy.com and launched the site in 2004 as one of the first download sites catering specifically to DJ's.
We pioneered many features in the digital music space that are now expected when shopping online .WAV downloads, two minute preview clips, deep linking pages, embeddable playlist player, downloadable artwork and specially curated content.
We have stood proud the past decade as we have seen so many artists and labels we believed in by featuring their music online when no one else would, go on to succeed across every level.
We've watched them get signed to the biggest labels in the world, travel the globe as headlining DJ's, remix and collaborate with icons, and see their label grow from a few digital releases on Stompy to being a consistent presence in the top charts on every store.
For 11+ years we have remained true to our musical vision, focusing on 'Quality over Quantity' and never faltered from being a platform for the underground sound.
The past few years have seen tides of change in the music marketplace, but we always stayed independent and kept our core music values.
To add to the shifting landscape, the home for our annual bank-holiday bashes - Cafe Cocomo - was forced to close to make way for condos early last year without any appropriate space to take it�s place.
We've had to make many sacrifices to continue to make it work the recent years, and our passion and dedication to the music has pushed us to keep it going even through times with no monetary reward.
We want to thank all of you for your immense support for over 23 years, as well as the many people in our extended family that have made everything tick for so long.
The memories and music we've shared with you will last well into the next lifetime.

One of the youngest label owners in the world!
Panagiotis Falcos was born in Thessaloniki, Greece on 1995 and is half British , half Greek. He spent his childhood
in Sykia, Halkidiki where his family runs a variety of holiday resort
business, such as restaurants, beach bars and rooms to let.
In 2010, Panagiotis moved to Thessaloniki to study in a high school specializing in computer studies and has recently completed all courses related.
In 2014 Panagiotis finished the SAE EMP(Electronic Music Production) Course in London.
About Alveda Music:
The label holds the largest electronic dance music catalog in Thessaloniki with the control of more than 50 artists (exclusive & non exclusive).

Alvea Recordings is officially the secondary host of the Alveda Music Group.
But why Alvea Recordings will host some releases of Alveda Music?
Alveda Music is planning to support and increase the catalog of Alvea Recordings for the simple reason: "Alvea Recordings doesn't have sales to be on the market". So with this plan will create a large catalog to be on the markets.
But what will happen with the payments of the artists after this move?
-Absolutely nothing. All artists will get paid by both labels using the same document.

Alveda Music is planning to support and increase the catalog of Alvea Recordings for the simple reason: "Alvea Recordings doesn't have sales to be on the market". So with this plan will create a large catalog to be on the markets.
But what will happen with the payments of the artists after this move?
-Absolutely nothing. All artists will get paid by both labels using the same document.
